CICERO, Ill. (CBS) — Things are getting heated in Cicero, where Town President Larry Dominick is being accused of political intimidation.
“Cicero is a throwback from the 1920s,” said Juan Ochoa.
Ochoa speaks for a lot of people when describing Cicero. He is running for town president and believes the man who currently holds that position, Larry Dominick, is trying to intimidate his opponents.

“They have a vehicle that their job is to follow me,” said Ochoa. “There is a police car that generally parks behind my home in the alley for hours at a time.”
Ochoa also believes that Dominick sent out a thug to attack one of his supporters, Sharon Starzyk, a former city employee who filed a sexual harassment suit against Dominick in 2011.
Dominick spokesman Ray Hanania says it is nonsense.
“No one, neither I, nor President Dominick nor anyone that I know at town hall would ever condone any type of violence against anyone,” said Hanania.
The election is February 26.
