Waukegan teachers vote to ratify new contract, end strike

The 20-school-day strike officially ended at 5 p.m. with an 86 percent vote in favor of the new deal. According to the Waukegan Teachers Council, there are nearly 1,200 members in the union and 1,006 cast ballots.
