My favorite was the movie Secretariat; they made it look like Secretariat needed to succeed or the farm would be lost, and trainer Lucien Lauren was a down and out trainer looking to redeem himself. Mind you in 1972, the year before Secretariat won the triple crown, Riva Ridge, a horse that was owned by that farm and trained by Lauren had won the KY Derby and Belmont Stakes.
