Jabari Parker moves on from the Bulls with a pure heart | Chicago Bulls

Jabari Parker is back in the United Center playing basketball and he's smiling. A powerful second quarter dunk in the face of Lauri Markkanen probably helped, as well. I'm happy, I would say," Parker told reporters Saturday before his Wizards played his former team, the Bulls. "I haven't smiled in …

  2. I hope he always gives us 25-30 points in our building. He wasn’t the best fit, but they didn’t have to make such an example out of him. He wasn’t good enough for Jim Boylen’s team, aka down by 40 make-believe hustle Dollar Tree Scott Skiles basketball.

  3. Funny how last two games Jabari became a motivated player. Guess wake up call on that team option for next year happened with trade. Watched first two Bobby/Jabari Wiz games. That type of effort here and he’s still a Bull.

  4. Bulls showed itself as a classless organization based on its treated of a hometown kid. Is he a flawed player? Yes but they knew that going in and decided to play lesser players for whatever reason. This is why no star free agents want to come here

  7. I’m glad Jabari is playing well either way us and the Wiz are not picking up that option. It’s like 20 million no one was going to do that either way we were trading him. They both get more minutes on a team fighting for the playoffs. Instead of a team where neither would get re-signed. The Bulls were never going to make Bobby a starter and they needed a player who could defend and shoot at the 3 and the 4. Porter gives them that it also helps that on the Wiz there is no pecking order after Beal. They both get more minutes and shots, but on the Bulls there is an obvious pecking order. It’s Lauri, Lavine, when he is healthy Carter Jr., and now Porter.

  10. Funny how people complain about effort and defense from Parker when he’s been that player his entire NBA career.

The Bulls knew this upon signing him and then chose to make an example of him for being the exact player he was before signing him.

All the while Jabari handled the the situation about as well as he could have in the public light.

You can’t blame a dog for being a dog as he’s just being a dog.

  13. Just be warned Wiz fans, he will not play this way all year. He has motivation to play better because he wants that team option picked up, but he is a lazy player, and be prepared for the Jabari juke(completely pointless fake jukes that fool no one). I was rooting for him when he came to the Bulls, but he doesn’t play hard all the time.

  17. I don’t know why everyone is mad the Bulls lost they need to lose for draft placing. You think the Mavs, Knicks, Suns, and Cavs are trying to win no. What’s the point of competing for the 7th or 8th seed, the right to get destroyed by the Bucks or 76ers/Celtics. Why be a middling playoff team that never gets lottery or top 10 picks and never gets past the second round. We did that for a couple years already, and now sadly it’s time to join the tank fest. There are like only 5 or 6 teams the Superstars want to join, so all the rest can do is hope to draft the next AD or Ante. I don’t say Luka because he had been playing euroball for a couple years before he was drafted. The chances of finding another 19 or 20 year old at his skill level right now are low. Like that’s what the NBA is now the super haves and the untouchable have not. Who have to hope their drafted and groomed superstar doesn’t one day get fed up and leave. The Bucks are seeing the AD saga and went into overdrive trading to make Giannis have a chance.

  20. Otto is a huge upgrade from Jabari. While Portis is a really solid player they are very deep at PF so trading him to get Otto was a plus for the Bulls.

  22. Jabari is a true pro and think he will thrive in a different system. Great offensive talent but the Bulls needed much more, like defense and leadership, with all the holes they have w this young roster. Stating the obvious but, Jabari woulda been a great asset back when we had a contender w Coach Tib’s, D-Rose, Noah, n the crew

  23. Jabari and Portis 30 pts 17 rebounds and 10 assists. Porter 17pts 2 rebounds 2 assist. Yeah Bulls got the best of that trade. Oh yeah lets not forget about the draft pick. Smh

  26. When they signed him, they knew who he was, but the problem is they didn’t have a clue as to how they were going to use him. At this point, it appears they don’t have a clue how they want to use anyone on that team. Truly good coaches know how to use players based on their strengths and not try to mold them into something they are not or force them to play in some “system”.

  30. Parker was the second best player on the team behind Levine, for him to lose playing time on a team bad as the bulls, prove the decision to not play him was most likely the owners,I wish him the best and hope he stay injury free the rest of his career.
