During the latest mayoral debate, Toni Preckwinkle stood by controversial comments made over the weekend by U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush that her opponent Lori Lightfoot says were “essentially saying that voters who support me somehow are going to have blood on their hands.”

Chicago mayoral candidate Toni Preckwinkle on Monday repeatedly stood by controversial comments made by U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush in which he alleged those who back Lori Lightfoot for mayor would “have the blood of the next young black man or black woman” killed by the police on their hands.
